Nancy O'Dell's radio career started as a journalist and anchor for WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. In the following years, she worked as a morning news anchor and crime reporter for WCBD-TV. Her reporting in Charleston about the police's leniency toward DUI cases has led to an investigation by the State Law Enforcement Division investigating these incidents. The Associated Press awarded Ms. O'Dell her Best Report of the year Award to the entire South Carolina media. Her work in Charleston led her to serve as co-anchor and investigative reporter as well as NBC's Miami WTVJ-TV. Prior to becoming a part of Access Hollywood she was a weekday co-anchor as well as the weekend anchor for NBC. She also works as an anchor on Dateline NBC and NBC News Today. She has covered major events like The Oscars, The Emmys, The Grammys, and The Golden Globe Awards. As well as co-hosting the Pre Show Arrivals to The Emmys & The Golden Globes. Co-hosted also The Miss USA pageant as well as the Miss USA pageant and the Miss Universe pageant.
